About the role
The Support Officer - Aboriginal Families Thrive Program is responsible for working with the Aboriginal Families Thrive team and Aboriginal families who access support, information and services available at the Tiraapendi Wodli (TW) Hub. TW walks side-by-side with Aboriginal families in the Port Adelaide and western metropolitan area and aims to strengthen the health, safety and lives of Aboriginal men, women and families.
You will bring
* Well-developed skills in culturally grounded and strengths-based approaches to working with Aboriginal families
* Well-developed understanding of issues that impact on the health, wellbeing and safety of Aboriginal men, women and families.
* Understanding of issues that impact men and women (and their families) returning to community from prison
* Demonstrated experience building productive relationships with diverse community, non-government and government stakeholders and networks
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to demonstrate initiative and good problem-solving skills.
Mandatory Requirements
A clearance to work with Children and a current Driver's Licence is required for this role.
