Airport Planner
What you'll do
* Deliver airport planning and advisory projects across areas including terminal planning, demand/capacity and level‐of‐service assessments
* Apply airport simulation and analytical methodologies to support real‐world planning and operational decisions
* Use simulation or modelling tools (such as CAST or comparable platforms) to test scenarios and assess performance outcomes
* Translate complex technical analysis into clear, defensible recommendations for airport clients
* Lead defined workstreams or components of larger multidisciplinary airport planning projects
* Engage directly with clients through meetings, workshops and presentations
* Support proposal development and contribute to maintaining strong, long‐term client relationships
* Collaborate with planning, engineering and advisory specialists across Aurecon to deliver integrated outcomes
* Support and mentor junior planners and analysts through project work and technical guidance
* Contribute positively to a collaborative, supportive team culture
What we're looking for
* Demonstrated experience in airport planning, terminal planning or aviation advisory, gained within a consultancy, airport management or specialist aviation environment
* Practical experience delivering studies involving passenger flows, demand and capacity analysis, level of service or operational scenario testing
* Experience using simulation or analytical tools relevant to airport, transport or pedestrian planning
* Strong analytical capability, with confidence working with data, assumptions and ambiguity
* Proven ability to work directly with airport clients, communicating technical concepts clearly and credibly
* Experience contributing to or leading workstreams within multi‐disciplinary planning projects
* Background in aviation planning, civil engineering, architecture, transport planning or a related discipline
* Consulting experience is strongly preferred
