We are seeking a HR Administrator, who will be reporting to the HR Manager and working with the HR Advisor. The role is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the HR function including maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding process, coordinating HR documentation and assisting with day-to-day HR operations to ensure a smooth and compliant people process across the College.
This is a part-time (0.40 FTE) ongoing position. Commencement date as soon as possible.
Primary Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support across the following:
* Induction of new staff
* Maintenance of staff leave register and manage the process for responding to leave requests.
* End-to-end recruitment (including advertising, screening, arranging interviews, reference checks, facilitate offer and acceptance & onboarding validations)
* Recruitment and onboarding & coordination of all casual staff appointments.
* Generate staff appointment forms, calculation of time fraction and salary.
* Draft employment contracts and staff variation letters for sign off by the HR Manager.
* Draft statements of service and other confirmation letters for staff as required.
* Assist with updating and maintaining accurate Position Descriptions for all positions at the College.
* Provide ad hoc HR reports to line managers and Payroll Department, including staff replacements reports, FTE reports, staffing numbers, etc.
* Creation and maintenance of individual staff HR electronic files and staff profiles in Synergetic including the uploading of documents, role changes and changes to personal details.
* Ensure that the privacy and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times.

* Experience in a HR similar role (desirable)
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Self-motivated & proactive.
* Excellent communication, problem solving & presentation skills.
* IT skills, including Microsoft Excel & experience using Synergetic (desirable).
* Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee) & police check.
