About Us:
We are a busy and growing bakery serving freshly baked bread, pastries, pies, cakes and quality coffee. We focus on creating a warm, welcoming space for customers while maintaining high standards in both our kitchen and front-of-house service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily operations of the bakery
* Manage front-of-house and kitchen staff, including training
* Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage
* Step in and cover shifts when required to ensure smooth operations
* Ensure excellent customer service and smooth service flow during busy periods
* Maintain high standards in food quality, coffee consistency, and presentation
* Ensure the team maintains cleanliness and organisation of the shop at all times
* Monitor stock levels, conduct stocktakes, and minimise wastage
* Handle ordering of ingredients, packaging, and café supplies
* Manage inventory and stock control systems
* Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace regulations
* Support business growth through sales and marketing initiatives
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance sales and overall shop performance
* Work with management to improve sales performance and promotions
Requirements:
* Previous experience managing a bakery, café, or similar food business
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Knowledge of baking products and café operations
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Flexible availability, including weekends and early mornings
