Our client
Steelcorp is a well‐established, family‐run business delivering turnkey design, manufacture and installation of commercial and industrial sheds across private and government projects. With a strong pipeline of work and a clear vision to expand into complete site management and planning, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Construction team.
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Construction, the Project Manager is accountable for planning, coordinating, and delivering multiple Steelcorp projects in line with contract requirements, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
High-value Activities in This Role
* Project planning and mobilisation (programs, sequencing, resourcing, readiness)
* Construction delivery and coordination across site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
* Commercial management and cost control (cost tracking, margin management, variations)
* Client and stakeholder management with clear communication and professional issue resolution
* Quality, compliance and safety across all works and documentation
* Site coordination and resource management to keep projects moving efficiently
* Project reporting and close‐out including handover and documentation
* Continuous improvement through post‐project reviews and process enhancements
You will manage 3‐5 large scale commercial projects concurrently, with some projects requiring onsite management and others overseen through Site Managers/Supervisors.
What You'll Bring
* 5‐7+ years' experience in commercial/industrial construction project management
* Strong understanding of construction sequencing, contracts, and site operations
* Proven capability in cost tracking, margin management, and commercial decision‐making
* Confident coordination and stakeholder management across internal teams and external parties
* A hands‐on leadership style with the ability to stay calm and solutions‐focused under pressure
* Highly organised, structured, and able to prioritise competing deadlines
* Excellent communication skills and professional presentation
* Based in (or willing to relocate to) North Eastern Victoria, with regular travel to sites
Desirable
* Steel structure / industrial construction experience
* Design & construct environment exposure
* Contract administration, claims and variations management experience
* Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
