Teacher Aide
Caloundra Christian College is a Pre-Kindy to Year 12 independent Christian school on the Sunshine Coast. We are a team of committed educators and support personnel who fundamentally believe that students learn best when they feel safe, respected, and are genuinely engaged and challenged by purposeful, creative, differentiated opportunities to learn about themselves and the impact they can make in the world they live in.
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional individuals to support teachers in their classrooms and to provide learning assistance across the College. These roles include helping Primary and Secondary teachers with the delivery of learning programs within our Learning Support area. We are also looking for aides with an interest in Art & Fashion and Industrial Technology & Design.
We have two to three part-time, term-time positions available (1, 2, or 3 days per week), with occasional additional days for staff professional development.

Primary & Secondary Learning Support
We are looking for reliable individuals, with prior Teacher Aide experience to :
- Support the teacher/s in facilitating lessons and activities, and preparation;
- Work with students individually or in small groups on activities planned under the supervision of a teacher;
- Assist students to comply with teacher instruction;
- Prepare equipment and materials specific to the student and classroom needs in accordance with teacher’s direction;
- Observe students and draw attention of the teacher to the students when necessary;
- Provide assistance during class activities, as required, to ensure maximum participation in programs; and
- Develop an effective, positive relationship with all students in the class.
Additional responsibilities for Learning Support
- Implement modifications to student work as set/directed by a teacher.
- Implement support programs (literacy and numeracy) under the direction of the teacher.
- Experience in working with students with a range of disabilities.

- Be able to demonstrate a Christian commitment consistent with the College’s Ethos;
- Have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement; and
- Have a current First Aid certificate with CPR or be willing to obtain.
