About the Role:
This pivotal role requires an experienced professional to serve as the Manager on Duty overnight, assuming full operational command in the absence of the Hotel General Manager, Front Office Manager, and Hotel Manager. The focus is dual: ensuring exceptional guest service and comfort during the quiet hours, and meticulously managing all financial, audit, and security functions to guarantee a seamless transition to the day shift.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the Manager on Duty overnight, supervising all night staff and operations.
• Accurately complete the daily Night Audit process, reconciling revenue and payments.
• Provide exceptional guest service by proactively meeting needs and resolving all complaints diplomatically.
• Enforce hotel security and safety protocols, strictly adhering to all WH&S guidelines.
• Coordinate with other departments (Housekeeping, Reservations) to ensure rooms are prepared for arrivals.
• Maintain accurate operational and financial records, ensuring policy compliance for all processes.
Skills & Experience:
• Must be totally conversant with all aspects of the Hotel's computer system as they relate to specific night audit functions.
• Full working knowledge of current room rates, packages, hotel services, local area information, and reservation procedures (booking, amending, and filing).
• Demonstrated ability to comply with all operational policies, procedures, and relevant WH&S guidelines.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and the night team.
• Experience in ensuring the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment and diligently completing all assigned opening and closing duties.
