The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Registered Nurse experienced in the administration of blood and blood products to join us as a Registered Nurse - Transfusion. This role involves working closely with the CNC Patient Blood Management, supporting staff and consumer education, reviewing blood and blood product safety events, and auditing to meet the Nationals Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards.
You will need:
1. Demonstrated clinical competence in blood product transfusion and patient blood management.
2. Ability to support the CNC - Patient Blood Management in all aspects of transfusion and blood management.
3. Understanding of NSQHS Standard 7 and ability to assist the CNC in meeting these standards.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part-time position, working 38 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable.
Note: This selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to twelve months from the date of publication.
Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata), with an additional 11.5% superannuation contribution. Salary is aligned with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Access to Grade 4 salary range ($99,455 - $105,995) is subject to progression.
Additional allowances, such as Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10%, may be available based on qualifications.

Eligibility:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
Desirable criteria include experience in Transfusion Medicine.
