Key Responsibilities:
Security governance & policy development
* Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry frameworks (ISO
Security operations & administration
* Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and other security tools, investigating and escalating potential incidents.
* Perform daily administrative tasks such as user access reviews, firewall and security rule management, and patch compliance tracking.
Security Control Implementation
* Assist in implementing and maintaining technical security controls. This includes endpoint protection, data leakage prevention (DLP), identity and access management (IAM).
* Work with infrastructure, application and service delivery teams to embed security best practices into systems and projects.
Incident Response & Reporting
* Participate in incident response activities, identify, contain, and recover from security breaches.
* Document incidents, root cause analyses, and recommendations for improvements.
* Secure Systems Implementation & Vendor Risk Management
* Collaborate with project teams during the design and implementation of new systems or solutions to ensure appropriate security controls are integrated from the outset.
* Conduct security reviews of third-party vendors and partners to assess compliance with internal policies, data protection standards, and industry regulations.
Awareness & Training
* Support the delivery of cybersecurity awareness training and campaigns.
What you need to succeed
* Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls or similar
* Experience with tools such as SIEM, antivirus/EDR, vulnerability scanners and firewalls
* Basic knowledge of networking, systems administration and cloud security principles
* Solid experience in an IT or Cybersecurity role(s)
