THE ROLE
The Administration Assistant – Junior School plays a crucial role in supporting administrative functions for the Junior School as well as providing first aid and learning support to students.
The Administration Assistant – Junior School will have excellent interpersonal skills. They must be well organised, flexible and enjoy working with students.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The key responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to) :
General Administrative Support
* Scheduling meetings, including those related to the NCCD program and NAPLAN provisions, as well as preparing and distributing agendas and minutes.
* Providing general office and administrative support as required, including filing, document preparation, and responding to queries.
* Supporting staff to organise key events in the calendar of the Junior School, including NAPLAN, Academic Testing and student competitions.
* Providing administrative support for the Creative Pursuits programs and classroom administration tasks, such as printing certificates and awards.
* Collating and organising the ordering of classroom resources for teachers.
* Collating and entering information in the SEQTA Reporting package.
* Any other tasks as required by the Principal or their delegate.
Student Services
* Providing first response first aid to ill or injured students and referring them to Student Services for those requiring more urgent or serious attention.
* Monitoring students with specific medical needs and referring to Student Services when appropriate.
NCCD Program Support
* Collect, organise, and maintain student data required for NCCD reporting.
* Assist teaching staff in compiling evidence of adjustments and supporting documentation.
* Support the collation and maintenance of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), meeting minutes, and other relevant documentation for students with disabilities.
* Provide administrative support to the school’s Learning Support team to ensure accurate recording of adjustments across the four NCCD levels.
* Manage data entry and updates into the school’s student management system for NCCD purposes.
* Collaborate with relevant staff to ensure appropriate disability adjustments are identified and approved for NAPLAN testing.
* Accurately enter and maintain records of NAPLAN disability provisions within the required databases and reporting platforms.
* Monitor deadlines and assist in preparing documentation for submission to external bodies, ensuring compliance with NAPLAN guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant industry experience and / or qualifications are highly desirable, but not essential.
Current or willingness to obtain :
* Working with Children Check (required)
* First Aid certificate
* National Coordinated Criminal History Check
EXPERIENCE
Experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
SKILLS
Organisational Skills : Managing and organising materials efficiently.
Basic Computer Skills : Proficiency in using computers and relevant software.
Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with staff, students and parents.

REMUNERATION
Terms and Conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Anglican Schools Commission Inc. NSW Enterprise Agreement 2023. Remuneration will be determined by the Principal according to qualifications and experience.
