**Let us describe the challenge we offer**
The Polestar **Product Planning & Commercial Training Manager** will be the primary point of contact for all product, homologation, commercial and product training activities in Australia. This position will collaborate closely with the Polestar Asia Pacific, and Polestar Global teams to ensure product competitiveness across the market. You will be responsible for successful product launches as well as support PR and Marketing events on all product-related aspects. Furthermore, you will be challenged to drive the learning experience of Polestar. Here, you will ignite your passion through developing, transforming, and delivering innovative commercial and product training for our customer-facing personnel at Polestar.
**What you'll do**
**Product Planning**:
- Ensure that Polestar products are attractive and competitively priced in the market 
- Assess market competitiveness by conducting continuous situational analysis. Benchmark with current product lineup versus key competition and market insights (i.e., VFACTS, JATO, Blue Flag) 
- Develop a product portfolio with product, price, and specification for contribution on sales volume, revenue planning, and vehicle margin optimization 
- Ensure comprehensive knowledge and understanding about product cycle plan to develop product upgrade plan along mid & long term 
- Conduct in-depth analysis on latest market trends of requirements on advanced technologies 
- As the local product lead, chair and develop product strategy content and business case proposals for the APAC Product Forum and content for Global Pricing Forum 
- Design and commission market research activities for future products 
- Lead meetings with Commercial, Business Development and PR / Marketing teams regarding product win / losses and present new model information to all internal stakeholders 
- Liaise with Customer Service Manager to develop and execute an Accessory program and portfolio 
- Support Planning & Order-to-Delivery Manager to formulate monthly sales forecasts by model specification and options / packs take-rates 
- Negotiate localization of certain product content and technologies with APAC Product Planning, Finance, Engineering teams to achieve product program goals
**Product Certification / Homologation**:
- Obtain certification of vehicle, parts, accessories, and affected items by fulfilling requirements with related data and document according to the local regulations 
- Collaborate with related departments on pre-conditions for sales (i.e., labels, owner manuals) 
- Monitor regulatory changes in local market and report to region for heads up 
- Direct communication with authorities if necessary (i.e., RCVS / RAV, NEVDIS, Department of Infrastructure & Transport, VFACTS) 
- Manage related 3rd party agencies for local homologation, and liaise with the Global Homologation Team to achieve product certification / homologation requirements 
- Coordinate and optimize safety ratings for recent Polestar models and variants working with APAC Product Planning, Global Polestar Safety Centre's, and the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) vehicle safety authority
**Commercial and Product Training** 
- Be the brand and product champion for Polestar Australia 
- Responsible for all commercial training aspects involving sales and customer experience, and product 
- Develop and implement a training program, budget plan, and timeline, including its tracking 
- Manage and define commercial training topics, content, and onboarding for all Polestar personnel at Temporary Activations, Spaces, Handover / Test Drive Centres, Service Points, and Customer Care Centre 
- Ensure that all commercial and product training needs and content constantly meet the objectives of the business and are aligned to the local learning needs, and regional and global strategies 
- Deliver learning experiences in various formats, such as virtual and practical trainings that can diversify from being online, hands-on, film, animation, to mixing it up with test drives and product walk-arounds
**People**:
- Lead, coach, inspire and train customer-facing personnel at Polestar with extensive knowledge and insights on product and customer experience 
- Lead agency partner relationships to drive the process-oriented, thoughtful work that meets overall objectives 
- Strong collaboration and coordination with regional and global teams
