Job Description The South Metropolitan Health Service, through its Rockingham Peel Group, is seeking a qualified professional for a permanent full‑time appointment. The role will be based at either Rockingham General Hospital or Murray District Hospital, and will involve leading specialist anaesthetic services across a diversified patient population.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist anaesthetic services to patients.
Promote patient safety and quality of care.
Provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education for doctors in training, health service medical practitioners and other health workers.
Work collaboratively with the Head of Department and other consultants to achieve national, state and SMHS performance standards and targets.
Eligibility & Selection Requirements Applicants must have a valid working visa for fixed‑term appointments or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia for permanent appointments. Applicants are required to undergo criminal records screening, integrity checking, a potential working‑with‑children check, and a pre‑employment health assessment. The position is subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check.
