About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering and technical operations.
In this key role, you will guide product strategy, drive innovation, and ensure compliance with IECEx, AS/NZS, and other relevant industry standards.
You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage complex technical projects, and deliver practical, compliant solutions that support business objectives.

Employment Type: Full-time
Location: Belmont, Perth, Western Australia
Base: $150,000 - $154,000
Car Allowance: $16,000
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and executing engineering strategies, project plans, and resource allocation aligned with business goals.
Representing engineering at executive level, driving continuous improvement in operations, compliance, and technical standards.
Ensuring adherence to IECEx, AS/NZS, and other safety standards, managing audits, documentation, and liaison with certifying bodies, while leading HSEQ compliance and risk management across all engineering activities.
Overseeing technical operations, maintenance, R&D initiatives and product development to maintain high quality, safety, and performance standards.
Collaborating with internal departments to align engineering activities with certification, design, and innovation goals.
Mentoring and developing engineering and sales teams to enhance technical capability.
Driving process improvements to improve consistency, scalability, and efficiency across multiple sites.
Owning engineering documentation and championing knowledge sharing across the organisation.
Skills and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
Minimum 7 years' experience in technical B2B solution selling, ideally in electrical or hazardous area industries.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical leadership role managing cross-functional or multi-site teams.
Proven experience of IECEx certification, compliance documentation, and audit processes.
Strong knowledge of AS/NZS standards relevant to hazardous area equipment or industrial electrical systems.
Experience in R&D, product development, or writing technical specifications for tenders.
Commercial acumen with a focus on balancing compliance, customer needs, and business outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
