Overview
Registered Nurse - Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services with incentives offered. Temporary Full Time position until June 2026 located in New South Wales, Australia. DACS is a specialist treatment service for people with substance use problems, offering harm minimisation as a core element of care.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide trauma-informed, person-centred nursing care for individuals seeking assistance with alcohol and drug use.
- Assess, plan, and deliver high-quality, individualised nursing care in community health settings, including comprehensive care planning that addresses physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to support clients in a collaborative, autonomy-empowered environment.
- Utilise advanced clinical skills to deliver monitoring, treatment, and supportive care for people undergoing alcohol and drug treatment.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving ability in a clinical setting.
- People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
