Salary package: $118,399 - $126,607 per annum plus 17% superannuation

Position Overview
The Executive Officer will play a pivotal role in providing high-level operational support to divisional leadership. This includes coordinating divisional priorities through annual planning, performance reporting, process improvement, and record-keeping. The role is also responsible for preparing high-quality reports, submissions, and documentation for governance committees and external bodies, ensuring compliance with legislative and institutional requirements.
In addition, the position will manage key communication platforms such as newsletters, meetings, SharePoint, and Teams to strengthen collaboration and cohesion across the Division. Acting as a central liaison between the Division, the Executive, and the University's colleges, the Executive Officer will also support divisional governance committees, lead administrative and functional reviews, and oversee governance and WHS reporting, ensuring alignment with University policies and procedures.
The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and managing administrative processes and systems to facilitate effective operations of the Division. This includes monitoring the flow of documents in and out of the executive's office, and the preparation of high-level reports and briefings.
Further to this, you will provide secretariat and minute-taking support to key governance committees and contribute to the implementation of strategic initiatives.

* Strategic and operational expertise: Proven experience in providing high-level executive support, strategic planning, and operational oversight within a complex organisation.
* Professionalism and initiative: A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to work, with sound judgement and a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Exceptional communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports, briefings, and correspondence aligned with the ANU style guide.
* Digital capability: Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite of tools (experience with BI dashboard reporting development is an advantage).
* Stakeholder engagement: High-level interpersonal skills and experience liaising with key stakeholders, including senior executives.
* Governance and compliance knowledge: Familiarity with the Australian higher education sector and research-led university operations, with knowledge of ANU systems and an understanding of governance frameworks, procedures, and processes. (will be highly regarded.)
