Key Responsibilities:
* Provide respectful personal care, including hygiene assistance, dressing and mobility support to the residents.
* Assist residents with daily living activities and meals.
* Foster independence, dignity, and individual choice for each resident.
* Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
What you will bring:
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in personal care ideally in an aged care setting
* Experience caring for people living with dementia.
* Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent e.g. Individual Support)
* Ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally with residents living with dementia and/or where English is a second language.
* Demonstrated ability to document concisely and effectively in resident progress notes
* Ability to work effectively and respectfully in a team environment.
* Knowledge of the Care Plan process and the relevant assessments required.
* Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach.
