The Role
As a cybersecurity start-up experiencing fast growth with a vision to be the market leader, we are looking for a motivated and ambitious Senior Account Executive to join the team. You will be one of the first sales hires in our organisation and an important member of the team.
Reporting to the General Manager and working with our broader team, you will be focused on growing our customer base by identifying and winning new clients, made up of leading Australian brands.
We are looking for someone who can own the full sales cycle, with experience in the cybercrime and scam disruption industry, and an existing network of cybersecurity contacts that can be leveraged into commercial opportunity.
Responsibilities
* Drive new business by securing customers to meet sales targets
* Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and initial engagement through to negotiation and deal closure
* Generate new pipeline through consistent outbound prospecting activity across email, phone, LinkedIn and online/in-person events
* Build and maintain a healthy pipeline by proactively identifying and engaging target accounts
* Develop trusted relationships within prospects, and engage in consultative discussions with senior stakeholders including CISOs, fraud and brand protection teams, and other decision makers
* Create tailored proposals, presentations, and commercial responses, collaborating with technical and solutions teams where needed to address customer requirements
* Develop a strong understanding of cybersecurity and brand protection trends in order to deliver informed and credible discussions with prospects
* Maintain accurate records of all sales activity, pipeline progress, and customer interactions within CRM, including forecasting and detailed notes
* Share feedback from customer engagements and market feedback to help refine messaging, improve the go-to-market strategy, and shorten sales cycles
Requirements
* Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
* Experience in selling cybersecurity, cybercrime disruption, or online scam prevention solutions
* Demonstrated capability of identifying customer needs and delivering tailored solutions through product expertise and consultative selling in the digital risk protection industry
* Experience developing trusted, consultative-style relationships with corporate decision makers
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly
* Passion and aptitude for working with clients and driving revenue growth
* Self-starter who is motivated, creative, and able to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a team
* Detail-oriented with strong organisational, time management and multitasking abilities
* Motivated by results and thrives in goal-driven environments
* Strong technical understanding with a passion for cybersecurity, cybercrimes and scams
