The key duties of the position include:

The Business and Technology Group is responsible for most of the AIHW's corporate enabling functions including HR, facilities, finance and IT.

The HR Services and Facilities Unit is a newly established unit that provides internal client service and support for recruitment, payroll, security, reception, and facilities.

Recruitment Team Leader (APS6)

An opportunity exists for a recruitment leader with proven expertise in navigating APS recruitment processes. In this role, you will lead the delivery of recruitment operations, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality hiring outcomes. You will also oversee the onboarding practices including pre-screening. Your integrity, drive, innovation and leadership will be key to shaping the future of recruitment at AIHW.

Your responsibility and oversight for day-to-day operation of the recruitment team will include:

* Lead and manage end-to-end recruitment operations, ensuring alignment with APS policies, legislation, and best practices.
* Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and hiring managers on recruitment planning, workforce needs, and talent acquisition strategies.
* Oversee process improvement initiatives, driving innovation and efficiency in recruitment systems and workflows.
* Ensure compliance with merit-based selection principles and uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency.
* Mentor and develop a fast-paced recruitment team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee the security clearance and onboarding processes to ensure compliance with operational standards.
* Collaborate across the agency to support workforce planning and contribute to broader HR strategic initiatives.

HR Officer - Recruitment and Employment Initiatives (APS5)

Successful candidates for this role are enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals with a strong sense of integrity and drive to work within the recruitment area. Primarily, this role supports the delivery of the AIHW bulk recruitment processes and the employment initiatives including graduate recruitment, internships and secondments.

* Provide recruitment advice, support, and guidance to managers and employees across the AIHW on a range of matters.
* Deliver work programs including bulk recruitment processes and employment initiatives.
* Partner with our stakeholders and be proactive in growing and maintaining strong connections.
* Provide training and guidance to junior staff and quality check their work.
* Ensure that service standards are consistently met within the recruitment workflow.
* Grow awareness of career pathways within the AIHW by promoting employment initiatives to external stakeholders on a variety of platforms.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and perform other HR duties as required.

To be eligible to apply for this vacancy, you must:

* obtain and maintain a valid Security Clearance (minimum Baseline vetting required)
* a probationary period of six (6) months will apply to any new engagement to the APS.
