Our opportunity
IP Australia's Temporary Employment & APS Mobility Register is used to fill short term temporary employment opportunities. It also allows current APS employees to express their interest in mobility opportunities with IP Australia.
IP Australia is a unique and innovative Australian Government Agency that works with Australians to help them protect their inventions, brands, designs, and plant varieties through the administration of patents, trade marks, designs, and plant breeder's rights: their Intellectual Property (IP). We will use our register to fill vacancies in two ways:
* To fill temporary employment opportunities at all levels, and
* To offer temporary or permanent employment opportunities to current APS employees.
The duration of employment can range from several weeks up to 12 months. To be eligible for employment opportunities, applicants must have Australian citizenship. You can find details of our salary and conditions of engagement in the IP Australia Enterprise Agreement.

General eligibility
All applicants who are offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a pre-engagement screening check, even if they have a security clearance. The screening check involves reviewing your background & personal circumstances to minimise risks in giving access to IP Australia information/resources. This screening check is conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements.
The successful applicant must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information.
