You'll work directly with clients and BDO’s global offices, providing specialist advice, compliance, and consultancy services across a range of indirect tax matters, including GST, stamp duty, land tax, and other state taxes. Your Role: As part of our team, you will: Advise clients on complex and technical tax matters, including preparing detailed advice, private rulings, and reports on the indirect tax implications of transactions. Work on multiple projects, assisting clients with mergers, acquisitions, IPO listings, and due diligence reviews. Ensure our clients meet their GST compliance obligations by preparing Business Activity Statements. Assist clients in meeting their regulatory requirements by liaising with the ATO and other State Revenue Authorities, preparing submissions, returns, and responses to reviews. Collaborate with our global offices to provide tax assistance on multinational clients. What We’re Looking For: Experience: Previous experience in indirect tax (GST and/or Stamp Duty) at an accounting or law firm is desirable. Qualifications: Degree in Accounting, Commerce or Law. Previous experience is advantageous. Desirable Skills: Willingness and desire to learn. Ability to work autonomously. A proactive approach to working in a team environment. Attention to detail.
