Cost Management Specialist
In this key position, you will have the opportunity to shape our business, lead a talented team, and work on a diverse portfolio of major projects.
The role involves leading pre- and post-contract cost management services across a portfolio of projects, building and maintaining strong client relationships, offering strategic commercial advice, and overseeing cost plans, estimates, tender reviews, and value engineering exercises.
Responsibilities:
* Leverage your expertise to deliver high-quality cost management services.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and strategic advice.
* Oversee cost planning, estimation, tender review, and value engineering activities.
* Lead and mentor quantity surveyors and cadets to ensure successful project delivery.
* Provide commercial oversight, reporting, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
* Support business development initiatives and contribute to fee proposals.
* Represent the company in client, consultant, and contractor meetings.
* Ensure compliance with internal QA systems and industry standards.
Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in a consultancy environment delivering cost management services.
* Professional membership with AIQS, RICS, or working toward chartership.
* Proven leadership and client-facing experience with strong commercial acumen.
* A background in mid- to large-scale building or infrastructure projects in Australia.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
