Curriculum Coordinator Role Overview
The Curriculum Coordinator is a vital position that requires collaboration with leadership and teaching staff to design, implement, and evaluate curriculum across the school. This role will be responsible for incorporating various responsibilities such as Mathematics Focus Teacher, Literacy Instructional Coaching, Classroom teaching or Intervention Support work, which will be determined by consultation with Principal and Assistant Principal and aligned with the school's improvement plan.
Key Responsibilities
* Accreditation to teach RE in the Wagga Wagga Diocese (or willingness to obtain) and commitment to the Catholic Faith
* Understanding and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education
* Thorough knowledge of the new K-6 English and Mathematics syllabus and ability to implement effective pedagogical practices
* Demonstrated capacity to deliver high-quality teaching and learning with focus on student growth
* Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: Mathematics instruction, Literacy coaching or Intervention strategies
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build collaborative and respectful relationships
* Capacity to lead colleagues in curriculum planning and professional practice
* Skills to analyze and interpret data to support teaching teams
* Commitment to ongoing professional learning and contribution to whole-school improvement
* Ability to develop positive learning environment using effective classroom management strategies that enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes
* Ability to work collaboratively and develop positive relationships with students, staff, parents, Parish priests and the wider community
* Current NSW Working with Children Check
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Successful Candidate to undergo a National Criminal History Check
* Accreditation for Teachers in a Catholic School (Category C) or working towards Accreditation
