ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be part of a team of dedicated workers providing support to five special people across two houses on the same site within their home and out in the community. We are looking for Support Workers who are values-driven, compassionate, reliable, and committed to providing the highest level of quality care and support. This is a key role, working to enable and empower our housemates to live independently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
* Delivering personalised support in the home and out in the community based on the needs and interest of the housemates
* Assisting housemates to create healthy meals, with personal care and administering medications
* Support housemates to engage and participate in the community and assist with medical appointments
* Enter case notes into the Client Management System
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Experience in support for complex cerebral palsy, epilepsy, stoma care, intellectual disabilities and behavioral management. This is helpful but not essential - training will be provided. A caring attitude and preparedness to learn is most important.
* An interest in pursuing a career long term with Fighting Chance/Base Housing
* A passion for providing responsive, person-centred, and considerate care
* A friendly, values driven qualified with a positive and empathetic approach to providing the highest level of support
* Be energetic, ambitious, and seeking to learn and grow in the role
* Flexible and adaptive communication skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
REQUIREMENTS
* Flexibility to work various morning shifts between 6am to 10am, afternoon 3pm to 10.30pm, sleepover overnights 10.30pm to 6am and weekend shifts
* Possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check
* Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID003) Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
* Fully Covid Vaccination including BoosterFull NSW Driver's License
* Rights to work in Australia
