Offer description

We are looking for an experienced Finance and Administration Officer with strong communication and organisational skills, as well as exceptional attention to detail, working autonomously and demonstrating initiative, to join our team on a part time basis 20 hours per week, this can be spread between 3 or 5 days.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Processing of all financial information, including supplier orders, invoices and payments;
- Preparation of monthly payroll, processing superannuation and WorkCover contributions;
- Completion of payroll tax returns, GST, accruals, and prepayments;
- Banking and credit cards reconciliation;
- Assistance with preparation of monthly management accounts;
- Assistance with preparation of annual budgets;
- Collating and distribution of monthly board packs;
- Assisting the Company Secretary including preparations for shareholder meetings;
- Coordinate and prepare documentation for AGMs;
- General office administration duties;
- Any other duties that may be required to ensure the smooth operation of the organisation.

About You:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role;
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in a mining related or service industry will be highly regarded;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate on all levels;
- Demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting;
- Well-developed time management, strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines whilst assisting colleagues;
- Demonstrated ability to deal responsibly and appropriately with confidential information;
- Ability to build direct relationships with internal stakeholders, and work independently of your direct report on a day-to-day basis.
