Your new role
Within this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for:
* Managing and maintaining a wide range of network, voice and security technologies to ensure their optimal operation.
* Implementing customer-requested changes and working as a part of the project team when implementing major changes to a customer's services.
* Performing physical and logical network deployments and migrations.
* Acting as the escalation point for network-related outages.
* Providing training and guidance to front-line technical support staff.
* Provisioning of telco services, including wholesale VoIP and internet services.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Demonstrated experience working as a Cisco Network Engineer, having sound knowledge of Voice / SIP.
* Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco routing & switching (BGP & MPLS), FortiGate / Palo Alto / Sophos firewalls, Cisco / Aruba Wi-Fi and SD-WAN.
* Experience with Azure, Hyper-V / VMware, DNS, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, 3CX, Juniper switches / routers and ConnectWise RMM / PSA is highly desirable.
* Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
* A tertiary education in Information Technology as well as Cisco, Fortinet, Azure and Microsoft certifications are preferred.
* Previous experience working for an MSP or Consultancy.
* A valid driver's licence.
