About the client

Due to growth, our client is seeking a Part Time Payroll Officer (3 days per week), to join their team immediately for a temporary to permanent opportunity. The Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:
* Processing payroll for approximately 180 employees in total (30 weekly and 150 fortnightly)
* Calculating outstanding accrued leave redundancy entitlements
* Prepare and lodge payroll tax, PAYG, work cover and superannuation
* Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information
* Understanding of Awards
* Resolving payroll discrepancies as well as;
* Various other duties as required
The successful applicant will have
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to multi task and work within a fast faced environment
* Knowledge of payroll processes, taxation, superannuation & payroll tax legislation
* Strong excel and numeracy skills
