Remote Supermarket Operations Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique and challenging environment as a Remote Supermarket Operations Manager. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing the successful operation of a supermarket in a remote Indigenous community.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have experience using electronic retail systems for stock control, point of sale and staff management. You will also possess strong interpersonal skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities and cultures.
* Job Description:
* Manage the successful operation of a supermarket in a remote Indigenous community
* Train and mentor local team members
* Deliver on nutrition policy
* Replenish and monitor stock levels, forecasting demand and ordering additional products or goods to maintain an optimal inventory level
* Work with merchandising, nutrition and local stakeholders to meet community needs
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience using electronic retail systems for stock control, point of sale and staff management
* Strong interpersonal skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities and cultures
* Ability to manage the unique challenges of remote communities including limited resources, unpredictable supply chains and cultural considerations/sensitivities
