Company Description
The Aboriginal Males Healing Centre (AMHC) Strong Spirit Strong Families Culture Inc. is a charity based in Newman, Western Australia. The Martu Justice Reinvestment Tribal Council (MJRTC) comprises members from Martu Aboriginal communities. Its primary role is to direct the implementation of justice reinvestment, to arrest the trajectory of incarceration and reduce the high rates of suicides among Indigenous Australians in the Pilbara. The MJRTC is a collaborative platform where we, as a community, can find solutions to the systemic problems that have been created over generations. Justice Reinvestment offers a means of addressing these systemic issues. Martu leaders will spearhead this collaborative effort to close the gap in the Pilbara region with community-led Justice Reinvestment (JR) solutions. The not-for-profit Aboriginal Males Healing Centre will serve as the initial organisation for MJRTC until its incorporation.
