We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Full‐Time Permanent Maintenance Fitter to join our operations team at Connor Street, Colac. Reporting into the Maintenance Team Lead, you will be responsible for maintenance, repairs and installation of complex dairy manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Hours (Rotating Roster)
* Morning Shift: 4 am – 12 pm
* Afternoon Shift: 12 pm – 8 pm
* Overnight Shift: 8 pm – 4 am
Responsibilities
* Install, repair, modify, commission and maintain complex machinery and equipment that utilises hydraulic and/or pneumatic principles.
* Carry out all general types of welding (Oxy‐arc and TIG) as needed for maintenance and running repairs.
* Examine, diagnose, modify and repair systems used to operate electro/mechanical, electro/hydraulic and electro/pneumatic packaging and production plant.
* Perform general machining operations such as lathe, drilling and milling work required for maintenance duties.
* Carry out general engineering maintenance functions including removal and installation of electric motor and gearbox bearings, maintenance and repair of mechanical transmission assemblies and pumps, general factory pipe work, installations and fabrications, lubrication of production equipment and running adjustments to production machinery.
* Read and understand hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry that controls fluid power systems.
* Utilise the Mex maintenance software.
Qualifications
* Hold a General Engineering Class 1; C 10 Trade Certificate in Fitting and Machining and Post‐Trade Certificates related to C 8 Trades classifications. Willing to obtain a Restricted Electrical Licence.
* Experience within a food‐manufacturing environment, ideally in a dairy/food production facility (preferred but not essential).
* Strong communication and problem‐solving skills.
* Understanding of quality assurance principles and hygiene and cleanliness standards required when performing work in a food manufacturing environment.
* Reliable and hard‐working.
* Ability to work autonomously as well as build effective working relationships.
* Demonstrated ongoing commitment to OHS principles and compliance with company safety tag and lockout procedures.
