About The Opportunity
The Senior Clinician for Intellectual Disability and Mental Health provides specialised consultation and liaison support within the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) Mental Health Service. This position delivers expert clinical guidance to build the capacity of health professionals and key stakeholders in responding effectively to the needs of consumers with intellectual disability and co-occurring mental health concerns.
The position offers consultancy, mentoring, education, and training to staff across the CCLHD. It also plays a crucial role in assisting health professionals, external agencies, consumers, and carers to access appropriate supports and navigate pathways into mental health services.
The position requires advanced clinical expertise and consultancy across CCLHD, delivering evidence-based assessment, intervention and care planning while maintaining a clinical caseload within a consultation-liaison framework.
The position provides clinical leadership to multidisciplinary teams, supports service development and continuous improvement, and contributes to education and quality activities, while working autonomously and in alignment with NSW Health policies, work health and safety requirements, and the Caring for the Coast values.

About You

* Advanced clinical knowledge and specialist expertise within your discipline.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver evidence-based assessment, consultation and interventions across diverse settings.
* Strong clinical reasoning skills with the ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams.
* Proven capacity to mentor and support clinicians and contribute to service development and quality improvement.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to engage consumers, carers and stakeholders.
* Commitment to work health and safety, NSW Health policies, and the Caring for the Coast values
