The Opportunity
Looking for a stable, full-time permanent role where no two days are the same? Our Lysaght Cairns business is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our friendly and supportive Customer Service Team. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.
This is an office-based role (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm) combining customer service, data entry, and operational support in a collaborative environment. You’ll enjoy being the face of the company, building and nurturing relationships and setting the tone for how customers feel about their experience. We’ll help you feel confident and supported from day one, with structured training including hands-on support from experienced team members and guided learning through our systems and products.

What Will You Do
Working alongside a collaborative and experienced team of Customer Service Representatives and reporting to the Branch Manager, your contribution to the customer experience plays a key role in the overall success of our branch. You will:
* process customer orders, prepare quotes and assist in coordinating transport
* provide timely updates on product availability and pricing, and customer orders and delivery
* maintain accurate customer records and system data
* manage customer phone and email enquiries and service walk-in customers
* liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve and escalate issues as needed
* support wider administrative responsibilities in the branch
More About You
Previous building industry experience isn’t required. You might come from retail, healthcare, administration, hospitality, or another customer-focused environment. What matters most is that you:
* communicate clearly and confidently (written and verbal) across a diverse range of stakeholders
* have accurate data entry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
* are comfortable learning new systems and platforms (such as CRM systems and Microsoft Dynamics 365)
* bring a solutions-focused approach and enjoy helping customers and internal teams succeed
* thrive in a team environment and bring a positive, safety-first mindset
