St Mark's is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 12 Anglican school of AngliSchools, that provides a high quality, inclusive, caring Anglican education. The School is a centre of excellence in teaching and learning, pastoral care, worship, and service. We require an excellent, enthusiastic and innovative Secondary Art Teacher, for Term 1, 2026. We invite applications from registered teachers of all levels of experience to join our educational community.

This is a part time (0.80 FTE) term 1 contract, this has a possibility of being an ongoing contract. You will be required to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

* Professional integrity and a passion for education.
* Plan and implement comprehensive visual arts courses, based around the Western Australian Curriculum including assessment, standards and reporting practices as outlined by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority.
* Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that develop students' artistic skills, creativity, and appreciation of art.
* Introduce students to a variety of art styles, techniques, cultural forms and media.
* Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, risk-taking, and confidence in artistic expression.
* Assess and document student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
* Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate visual arts across the curriculum where appropriate.
* Organise and facilitate student exhibitions, displays, and participation in school and community arts events.
* Manage and maintain art materials, resources, and classroom spaces responsibly.
* Stay current with best practices, trends, and innovations in visual arts education.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of whole-school arts initiatives, programs, and events.
* Commit to ongoing professional learning and growth in visual arts education.
* Understand the value of Pastoral Care and its purposeful interpretation and implementation at classroom level, showing empathy and compassion.
* Show support for the School's Anglican ethos as well as the co-curricular and extra-curricular life of the School. Please refer to the School's Values at
* Establish positive teacher/parent relationships.
* Effective communication skills when dealing with a broad range of people.
* Has strong understanding of Child Safe principles and exhibit Child Safe practices.
