About the role
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant & Bar Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Britannia Hotel in Norwood, SA. As a full-time Saleried Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy restaurant and bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless dining experience for our guests.
What you'll be doing
1. Supervising and coordinating the front-of-house team, including servers, bartenders and hosts
2. Ensuring high standards of food and beverage service, cleanliness and presentation
3. Handling customer inquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional and responsive manner
4. Assisting with staff scheduling, training and performance management
5. Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, placing orders and managing supply costs
6. Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and menu execution
7. Adhering to all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a Restaurant or Bar Supervisor, preferably in a high-volume hospitality setting
2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
3. Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
4. Familiarity with H&L point-of-sale systems, inventory management
5. Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service standards, liquor licensing and health/safety regulations
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
7. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
