Permanent Yatala-based role, WFH 2 days/week Background in construction, cranes, civil or similar is preferred Work with great people in a company known for its strong culture NW Mining Civil are recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Labour Allocator, working for our client at their Yatala depot supporting their crane crews across multiple sites in SEQ and Northern NSW.
In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily and weekly workforce allocation, managing rosters, communicating with crews and site managers, handling last-minute changes, and ensuring operations run smoothly and safely across all active projects.
This is a busy environment where flexibility, accuracy and responsiveness are essential.
Working as part of our client's small and supportive operations team, the duties of this role will include, but are not limited to, the following: Managing end-to-end workforce allocation and rostering for crane crews across multiple sites Publishing weekly rosters using Employment Hero and ensuring changes are communicated promptly Handling daily changes including sick leave, breakdowns, weather delays, urgent staffing calls and crew swaps Liaising directly with site managers-no changes occur without site approval Managing expectations with clients and site personnel to ensure all updates are understood and confirmed Ensuring crews are allocated based on valid HRWL qualifications and site requirements Building and maintaining strong working relationships with labour hire providers Managing labour hire timesheets, cost tracking and invoice verification Supporting onboarding, recruitment coordination, qualification tracking and general HR administration Assisting management with process improvements and operational tasks as required The right person will have experience in a similar scheduling or workforce coordination position within construction, cranes, civil, resources, or another high-volume, fast-paced environment, and possess skills including: Experience in labour allocation, crew scheduling, site coordination or similar Strong communication skills and confidence managing frequent phone calls and tight deadlines The ability to remain calm, organised and proactive when handling competing priorities Understanding of qualifications, compliance and safe work requirements Strong administrative skills and the ability to use scheduling tools Great communication teamwork skills A positive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with crews, clients and internal teams Drivers licence essential This is a Monday to Friday role, with early morning starts sometimes required to manage sick leave, site changes and roster updates.
