Experienced Consultant Psychiatrist (Clinical Director) role providing strategic medical and clinical leadership across Mental Health and Specialised Services within a large regional health service.
You will work closely with executive leadership, clinical teams and community partners to shape the delivery of adult, community and specialised mental health programs across a diverse coastal and regional catchment. The role combines high-level clinical governance, service planning and workforce leadership while maintaining clinical oversight across key psychiatric services. This position offers significant influence in the development of contemporary models of care, service integration and mental health reform within one of Queensland's growing regional health networks.

The Location

The Facility
This major regional health service supports a rapidly expanding coastal and regional population across multiple hospital and community facilities. Mental Health and Specialised Services provide a comprehensive model of care including inpatient units, community mental health teams, consultation-liaison services and specialised programs across adult and sub‐specialty psychiatry. Ongoing population growth and service demand continue to drive investment in mental health infrastructure, workforce expansion and service redesign across the region.
The Requirements
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent specialist qualification
* Eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
* Demonstrated senior leadership experience in psychiatry, clinical governance or service management
* Strong interest in mental health service development, workforce leadership and system improvement
* International psychiatrists eligible for the RANZCP specialist pathway are encouraged to enquire
