Job Overview:
This leadership role entails overseeing and managing T1 and T2 Satellite Operations Centres in Sydney, Canberra, and Perth.
* Responsibilities include managing a team of 50 personnel providing T1 and T2 prevention and maintenance operations.
* Leads all aspects of 24x7 customer support and incident response for services including Broadcast, VSAT, Mobile Black Spot Sites, LEO Broadband, and other networks.
* Acts as the primary customer contact for fault coordination, outage response, and service restoration.
* Directs strategic initiatives and continuous improvement undertakings for Satellite Operations Centres.
* Maintains and optimizes satellite facilities, earth stations, and associated terrestrial transmission infrastructure.
* Leads operational support for new product developments and capital projects.
* Supervises key performance indicators, SLAs, and business continuity plans to minimize service impact and enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
* Minimum 10 years' experience in the satellite communications industry.
* Proven leadership in complex technical environments.
* Deep expertise in satellite technologies including IP, RF, digital broadcast, broadband, and terrestrial transmission.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
* Tertiary education (Certificate or Diploma level).
* NV1 clearance (or eligibility to acquire).
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio and Project.
