They specialise in complete home and property transformations, including kitchen and bathroom upgrades, internal and external renovations, structural and aesthetic improvements, and bespoke finishing works.
The Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for laying ceramic, clay, slate, marble, porcelain, and glass tiles on internal and external walls and floors to deliver high‑quality finishes across residential renovation projects. This is a full‑time role based in Adelaide, SA, with an annual salary of $90,000 plus superannuation.
Responsibilities
- Review detailed plans and specifications to understand the tiling project's requirements.
- Measure and mark surfaces accurately to meet design and spatial considerations.
- Prepare walls and floors by removing existing tiles, grout, adhesive, and contaminants.
- Fill holes and cracks to create a smooth, level base.
- Apply waterproofing systems as required.
- Spread appropriate adhesive and set tiles in correct positions.
- Cut and shape tiles using hand and power tools for edges, corners, pipes, and fixtures.
- Ensure tiles are aligned accurately and spaced consistently.
- Apply grout, clean surfaces, and remove excess material.
- Lay specialty flooring such as terrazzo, granolithic, or cement‑based finishes when needed.
- Install tile features including mosaics and patterned designs.
- Follow WHS requirements and maintain a clean, safe work setting.
- Liaise with clients and team members to ensure quality outcomes and meet job timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in wall and floor tiling, including ceramic, porcelain, stone, and mosaic.
- Professional experience with various tile types and complex decorative finishes.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
- Skilled in using tiling tools and equipment – tile cutters, trowels, and levelling devices.
- Knowledge of surface preparation, adhesive and grout application, and intricate cutting and measurement techniques.
- Understanding of waterproofing methods and materials.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations related to tiling.
- Ability to work independently.
- At least two contactable work referees.
