The Employer: Our client is a family-owned business whose portfolio consists of 3 properties, 2 of which will be the main focus for this particular role. Woburn, 700 acres in size, lends itself to mixed farming, with the intention of sowing approximately 40% down to dual purpose cereals, the remainder to pasture. Mouquet, 450 acres of irrigation country, will undergo the majority of our clients' rebuilding, utilising industry-specific irrigation consultants as part of their 2 year Infrastructure Renewal Plan. Currently, Mouquet houses a 2-stand Proway shearing shed and yards. Each of the 3 farms play integral roles within their livestock operations, involving 80 breeding cows, 1,500 XBred ewes, and 1,000 Ultrafine Merinos, the majority of offspring being finished on the western properties. Our client has a modern fleet of farming equipment, a 2024 Fendt 718 tractor, John Deere 6110M, Amazon UX 4200 28m boom spray and Agrowplow AD240 seed drill, and is responsible for all tillage, spraying and sowing of pastures. High quality lucerne is the main crop grown under irrigation with the intention that the production of hay to be managed in house with aid from contractors as required. Moving forward, our client wishes to invest further with new agricultural equipment, emphasising workplace health and safety, allowing for seamless and stress-free usage, resulting in greater productivity.
The Role Personality traits such as strategic planning and development, the ability to see, drive and progress our client's vision, with passion and dedication, is vital to this management role. Through clear and concise communication, and the ability to converse and report to the employer, you will be required to have a very hands-on approach to this position. Over the coming developmental period, it will be necessary to work within budgetary constraints at all times. Due to the intensive evolution of this mixed farming practice, you will be required to be motivated and have a strong desire to achieve the company's long-term goals. The successful applicant is required to be physically fit and capable of dismantling current infrastructure, including fencing. With the occasional use of additional labour, you will be responsible for and not limited to, water and fencing implementation, animal infrastructure, all aspects of animal husbandry, irrigation construction, installation of pastures and fodder/cereal crops and the ability to liaise with all contract staff.

* Must have a strong work ethic and the capability to work autonomously
* Exceptional record-keeping/ data entry skills
* A current drivers licence
