Settlements Officer - Equipment Finance (Career Track Opportunity)

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for precision and efficiency? We are seeking highly motivated candidates for our Settlements Officer role. This position is structured as a Career Track Opportunity, open to both ambitious recent accounting/finance graduates looking for their first deep dive into commercial lending, and experienced Settlements Professionals seeking a higher level of responsibility and pay.

If you thrive in a rapid-paced environment, believe that controllership is key to success, and are ready to be a crucial link between our clients, lenders, and sales teams, we want to hear from you.

The Opportunity: Two Paths

Depending on your experience, you will be hired into one of two tiers:

- Settlements Officer – Entry‑Level Graduate (0‑3 years experience). Focus on learning procedures, managing the pre‑approval pipeline, and basic settlements support.
- Senior Settlements Officer – Experienced Professional (3+ years experience). Full ownership of complex retail and commercial settlements, lender liaison, team mentorship, and process improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your primary mission is to manage the end-to-end settlements process for our equipment finance loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance in every step. Key responsibilities for both tiers include:

- Settlements & Adjustments: Own the process for Equipment Finance Loan Settlements, along with managing retail settlements, adjustments, and variations.
- Pipeline Management: Proactively manage the pre‑approval pipeline, ensuring all documentation is ready to meet hard deadlines.
- Stakeholder & Lender Liaising: Act as the main point of contact for external lenders, coordinating funding and documentation.
- Client Support & Coaching: Provide exceptional support to our external partners (Dealerships, Manufacturers) and customers, including communication and portal coaching.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our internal teams, including Operations, Business Development, Broker Teams, Finance, and Collections, to ensure a smooth transition from sale to settlement.
- Asset Management & Compliance: Maintain accurate asset management records and execute all tasks with strict adherence to compliance and procedural requirements.
- Strategy Execution: Assist in the logistics management required to execute national marketing and sales team strategies.

What You’ll Bring (Day 1 Qualifications)

We are hiring based on two distinct qualification profiles:

For Entry‑Level Candidates (Settlements Officer)

- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Familiarity with the concepts of Financial Services and Lending Business.
- Discipline to follow detailed procedures and a willingness to commit to hard deadlines.

For Experienced Professionals (Senior Settlements Officer)

- Minimum of 3 years of direct Asset Finance Settlements experience.
- Extensive experience processing new loans and complex loan settlements.
- Proven experience in a Financial Services Business and a deep understanding of commercial lending.
- Demonstrated discipline to meet hard deadlines consistently.

Your Winning Attributes

The ideal candidate has a mindset geared toward detail, discipline, and efficiency.

- Discipline & Controllership: You possess an unwavering belief in discipline and controllership as the backbone of sound loan management and execute all tasks with this focus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders – from customers and dealers to internal leadership.
- Problem‑Solving: The ability to learn recent systems quickly, proactively identify controllership risks, and solve issues by addressing the root cause.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to work effectively with multi‑skilled teams and stakeholders including Brokers, Dealerships, Customers, and internal teams.

If this sounds like the perfect fit for your skills and career aspirations, apply now and indicate which level of opportunity (Entry‑Level or Experienced) you are applying for!

At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.
