ACTIVITIES ATTENDANT - qualia
qualia, is an oasis of style, combining award winning luxury with intuitive friendly service. qualia is located on Hamilton Island's northern-most tip. The Beach Activities team based at qualia's private Pebble Beach offers a range of activities for guests to take to the water on a catamaran, stand up paddle board, pedal board or sea kayak, or a guided catamaran sail. A personalised beach drop-off is offered and the team will use local knowledge to suggest beaches to visit and ferry guests to and from their preferred destination. Due to unprecedented demand we now have an opportunity for a qualified and experienced Activities Attendant to join the qualia team.

Your Role
Your day will be spent at qualia's private beach assisting our guests enjoy beach and water activities. Whether it is sailing one of our Hobie cats, snorkelling, kayaking or cruising the clear blue waters on a stand up paddle board you will be there to assist, coach and ensure the safety of our guests.
Where you'll make an impact
* Providing impeccable service to meet the expectations of our guests
* Have a strong and thorough knowledge of all beach activities and be proficient in them and able to teach our guests
* Ensure all equipment is stored, maintained and checked to maximise guest and instructor safety
* Be constantly alert to tide and weather changes ensuring the safety of guests and equipment
* Assist guests with a range of sporting equipment including kayaks, snorkels and SUPs
* Conduct a guided tour of Whitsunday Peak, the highest peak in the Whitsundays
* Perform guided sailing on our fleet of Hobie catamarans
What we're looking for
You are a true professional and strive to excel in your career. You will love the water, be fit and healthy and be a skilled sailor, kayaker, swimmer, and paddle boarder.
To be successful
* Impeccable grooming and presentation
* Excellent time management skills & ability to adapt & personalise activities
* Coxswain Grade 3 or above qualification (essential)
* Open / unrestricted driver license (essential)
* Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR (essential)
* QLD or Nationally accredited RSA (essential)
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and great problem solving skills
* Use initiative and have a proactive and positive attitude to assist team members to ensure operations run smoothly
* Dedicated to stay minimum of 12 months & passionate about progressing in career
* Previous experience in similar role will be highly regarded
