Temporary Controls Technician
Duration: 6 months • Salary: G5 HSU pay scale (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Controls Technician to join our team on a temporary basis, supporting operations in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities across Building Management Systems
* Support fault finding and rectification across:
o Honeywell Security Systems
o Schneider Electric BMS (large, complex environment)
o DVL CCTV systems
* Monitor and maintain mechanical and electrical system controls
* Support the management of maintenance contracts for Honeywell, Schneider Electric, and DVL systems
* Attend meetings with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors
* Review reports, quotations, and service outputs as required
* Provide technical support to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably
Qualifications
* Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS) and control systems
* Hands‐on experience with one or more of:
o Honeywell systems
o Schneider Electric BMS
o CCTV systems (DVL or similar)
* Strong troubleshooting and fault‐finding capability
* Experience supporting planned maintenance programs (PPM)
* Ability to liaise with contractors and manage external service providers
* Strong communication skills and ability to participate in meetings and reviews
Desirable
* Experience in a hospital, healthcare, or complex facilities environment
* Electrical or mechanical trade qualification (or equivalent experience)
