One of our Thurgoona Preschool educators is embarking on an exciting adventure, so we are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated educator to join our team for a fixed-term contract.
The position is a full-time contract (38 hours per week) with an immediate start and ending at the end of Term
Thurgoona Preschool provides high-quality education and care for up to 50 children each day, aged three to five years and operates for children from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm during the NSW public school terms.
An extensive range of resources is available to provide children with a quality play-based program. The preschool is set in a beautiful natural environment. It is situated close to the university, schools, childcare centres and shops.
We are also looking for casual or temporary part-time educators to work on specific days until the end of Term 4 2025, to support the inclusion of children with additional needs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (preferred) or
* Certificate 111 in Early Childhood Education and Care (may be considered)
* Current Education & Care First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training
* NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
* Current ACECQA approved Child Protection qualification.
* Working knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
* Experience working in a preschool or early childhood setting
* Experience supporting children with additional needs (desired)

* Ability to observe and record children's development and interests, and contribute to the program.
* Ability to assist in providing education programs which meet the developmental, cultural and individual needs of all children attending the preschool.
* Experience and enthusiasm to create inviting, interesting and nurturing learning environments and experiences for children that reflect their ideas, interests and strengths and support growth and development.
* Ability to implement behaviour guidance techniques and strategies consistent with the preschool policies and practices.
* Demonstrated commitment to participate in professional and personal development.

Salary will be in accordance with the Thurgoona Preschool Whole of Centre Agreement 2020/ Deed of Agreement 2025.
