We are currently seeking a capable Lawyer to join our Commercial team in Sydney.
Responsibilities
* Working on a diverse range of complex commercial litigation matters (Disputes, debt recovery, trade credit and general commercial litigation)
* Have regular involvement and direct contact with clients
* Appear in various courts and tribunals
* Draft statements of claim, defences, originating applications, notices of motion and other court documents
* Draft statutory demands
* Prepare evidence
* Court appearances at directions and call‐overs
* Legal research
* Drafting advice, statutory demands and correspondence
* Conduct ASIC and property searches
Requirements
* An academic qualification in law
* Current NSW practising certificate
* Experience in defendant insurance litigation, preferably within Commercial insurance matters
* Excellent analytical, drafting and communication (verbal and written) skills, with superior attention to detail
* Be an enthusiastic and personable lawyer who has a passion for client service
* Have the ability to work effectively in a team‐based environment, as well as autonomously
* Have a desire for personal development

Salary range: AUD80,000 to AUD90,000
