Maintenance Support Officer Deliver high-quality customer service and administrative support within a fast-paced Maintenance Response Centre. The Opportunity A State Government Department is seeking a motivated and resilient Maintenance Support Officer to join their Maintenance Response Centre for the Far North Queensland Region on a temporary basis. This role plays a critical part in supporting maintenance service delivery through frontline call handling, accurate administration, and high-quality customer service. Working in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment, you will manage incoming enquiries, process service requests, and ensure information is accurately recorded and actioned. What's On Offer Temporary role with a State Government Department Great hourly rate FNQ-based position Fast-paced, high-volume work environment Opportunity to gain experience within a Maintenance Response Centre About the Role Key responsibilities include: * Answering incoming calls and responding to maintenance-related enquiries * Providing efficient, high-quality customer service to customers and stakeholders * Accurately recording, updating, and maintaining information in relevant systems * Compiling documentation and reports with a high level of accuracy * Working within a KPI-driven environment with performance monitoring mechanisms * Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation, de-escalation, and dispute resolution * Ensuring records and information systems are kept up to date and accurate * Effectively undertaking general administrative duties as required * Supporting maintenance service delivery within the Maintenance Response Centre About You You are a proactive and organised administration professional who remains calm under pressure and delivers excellent customer service in fast-paced environments. You will bring: * Moderate experience using Microsoft Word and Excel (essential) * Demonstrated experience in customer support or call centre environments * Strong general office administration skills, including Outlook * Excellent time management and organisational skills * High attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and think outside the square * Ability to operate under pressure and manage stressful situations * Capability to work independently with on-the-job training * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Maintenance or facilities knowledge (advantageous) To Apply Applications in Word format should be submitted by clicking the 'Apply' button below.
