What you will do as the Director, Agriculture: You will be involved in a range of projects including market studies and inquiries, investigations of alleged breaches of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CCA), and industry engagement to help the sector better understand their rights and responsibilities under the CCA. You will: lead a team of professionals, role modelling our leadership behaviours, supporting a professional and collaborative working environment, coaching, giving continuous feedback, resolving conflict, and facilitating career development. manage investigations, market studies and inquiries into competition and fair-trading matters in the agricultural sector, including to develop suitable solutions to issues and persuasively argue the case of these. ensure the delivery of high-quality documentation, reporting and communication with senior managers and Commissioners of the ACCC. About you In order to succeed in the role, you will have: tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as economics, law, or similar fields. demonstrated experience leading a team or similar role in a fast-paced and large complex people-centred organisation. the ability to manage and deliver programs and projects in line with financial and risk management best practices. a sound knowledge of the competition and consumer protection and competition provisions of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or a demonstrated ability to quickly acquire such knowledge. experience in successfully and autonomously managing and delivering large, concurrent projects to deadline, using initiative, and responding flexibly to change and uncertainty. excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate, and communicate policy and advice.
