Overview
Travel industry Business Development Manager
This role is focused on driving current business initiatives within a vibrant leisure travel network. The ideal candidate will either be well-connected within the retail travel space, bringing strong existing networks, or a proven BDM/new business hunter with the drive to open doors and build lasting partnerships.
Base pay range
A$90,000.00/yr - A$120,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain multi-level relationships within the travel industry.
- Collaborate with marketing for lead generation efforts.
- Utilize CRM tools to track customer interactions and manage opportunities.
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Understand market trends and competitive offerings.
- Present products and services effectively to maximize engagement and profitability.
- Negotiate agreements to optimize outcomes.
- Support customers through transitional phases.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in the travel industry, ideally in a business development role with a strong multilevel understanding of leisure / retail travel.
- Either: strong existing networks in retail travel or demonstrable success as a new business hunter.
- Strategic approach to bringing on new accounts.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
- Understanding of travel agency operations and supplier landscapes.
