About the role:

As the Contract Compliance Coordinator for multiple sites, your role is to contribute to NAPOD, the Adelaide Immigration Detention Centre (AIDC) and AIDC Alternate Place of Detention (AIDC APOD) centre level compliance for the Department of Home Affairs, Australian Border Force.

Key responsibilities:

* Conduct contract compliance functions within NAPOD, AIDC centre and AIDC APOD.

* Review and Track Compliance and Performance Results to identify potential areas that require compliance assessment to identify cause of quality failures.

* Conduct Quality Assurance checks on Abatement Relief requests / Excusable Quality Failures drafted by centre managers/facility managers /operations managers

* Track and monitor non compliance remedial actions, rectifications or outcomes

* Identify and escalate risks and recommend corrective actions and implementation of controls and processes to the Contract Compliance Manager

* Coordinate contract management and compliance activities, ensuring areas of highest risk are monitored regularly.

* Raise compliance concerns or failures with the Contract Compliance Manager, relevant manager and/or Director Contract Compliance in a timely and professional manner.

* Effectively Manage and Supervise the Contract Compliance Officer, including workload and leave requirements. This only applies if a AIDC or AIDC APOD Compliance Officer is appointed

Key experience:

* A minimum 3 years proven contract compliance, auditing experience either within government, detention, immigration, or corrections environments. If not within these areas, then another complex industry such as hospital, university, or similar large scale operational/service delivery environment is mandatory.

* Formal qualification in contract management, compliance, risk or auditing or related field, however, significant experience is considered appropriate if formal qualifications are not held.

* Ability to gain and retain all the necessary police/security clearances required within our industry, including approvals from /other vetting as required by the Primary Contracts organisation

* Ability to visit and work within a correctional/ detention centre/facility.

* Ability to travel when required to meet the needs of the business, including interstate and internationally
