**About the role**
The Marketing and Communications Executive will assist the Commercial Manager in developing and managing the implementation of the annual marketing strategy across West Hotel Sydney, Curio Collection by Hilton.
**What will I be doing?**
You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Contribute to marketing plans to ensure all activities agreed to and budgeted for are completed effectively and on time throughout the year.
- Organise monthly social media calendar, maintain local channels with operational hotel support and monitor and report on activities.
- Ensure hotel has positioning statements and descriptions to support its marketing priorities, and that they are shared with management and team members as appropriate.
- Office administration tasks as requested including filing, corporate gift purchase, completing and distributing purchase requisitions, maintaining budget spreadsheet with all POs and costs.
- Manage day-to-day relationship with approved creative agencies and printers and ensure all collateral design, printing and distribution requirements are fulfilled.
- Lead food and beverage marketing planning, budget and activities, (with approvals), and create promotional strategies to support positioning.
- Implement annual calendar of activities for each outlet.
- Take responsibility for proactively updating marketing content on all brand websites (Copy, Images, Promotions) to ensure complete accuracy, effective positioning and optimised for conversion.
- Take responsibility for updating content on third party websites such as Expedia, Trip Advisor, as above.
- Monitor any e-commerce activities of competitor hotels.
- Create tactical collateral and presentations to brand guidelines.
- Ensure major promotions plans activities are implemented effectively and on time.
- Coordinate all aspects of the design and placement of print and online advertising that is brand-compliant.
- Maintain advertising records.
- Ensure hotel is taking full advantage of any regional sponsorships and partnerships.
- Ensure the hotel is taking full advantage of any locally-secured sponsorships/partnerships Communications & PR.
- Implement tactical PR campaigns at a local level where appropriate, working with agencies as required.
- Ensure all hotel photography, videos and 360's are up to date, position the hotel as desired and are brand approved.
- Know and champion brand guidelines and ensure all touch points and merchandising opportunities are maintained with current information and collateral.
- Ensure any back of house collateral for the above programs is displayed.

- Degree level qualification in business marketing or PR.
- Previous experience working in a five star hotel would be beneficial.
