Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare high-quality dishes across various kitchen sections, with a strong focus on a la carte, buffet, larder, mise-en-place, room service, and banquets.
* Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and organisation in the kitchen.
* Contribute to the development of new menu items to enhance the guest dining experience.
* Mentor and supervise junior staff, offering guidance and training.
* Apply diverse cooking styles and techniques to deliver exceptional dishes.
* Foster strong communication and coordination within the kitchen brigade.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Trade qualifications and previous experience in the hotel industry preferred.
* Extensive experience in a la carte.
* Knowledge of food safety requirements.
* Service-oriented with an eye for detail.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask.
* Flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change.
