About the role
Responsibilities include:
Prepare and cook North Indian curries.
Prepare and cook tandoori dishes and make naan breads.
Prepare and make Indian dessert dishes.
Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order supplies.
Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
Discuss food preparation issues with managers, dietitians, and kitchen waiting staff.
Demonstrate techniques and advise on cooking procedures.
Prepare and cook food.
Explain and enforce hygiene regulations.
May select and train staff.
May freeze and preserve foods.
Skills and experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in North Indian ala-carte cooking.
Energetic and able to work in a fast-pace environment.
Punctual, reliable, hardworking and passionate about cooking.
